The Sterile Processing Tech will be a full-time, permanent employee for a community-centered health system known for their Critical Access Hospital, Physician and Specialty Clinics, Birth Center, Rehab Services, Home Health Care, Emergency and Trauma Services, Outpatient Services, and more.
The Sterile Processing Tech SPD will join the perioperative surgical team working the day shift. Responsibilities of the Central Sterile Processing Technician include retrieving contaminated supplies, delivering sterile supplies, preparing sterile processing instrument trays for surgeries, examplination, and procedures, and maintaining inventory. With prior hospital SPD experience, Central Sterile Processing Technician will be a resource to new-hire and current department staff. The ideal Sterile Processing Tech SPD should have a working knowledge of sterilization techniques, prior hospital Sterile Processing experience, and familiarity with surgical instruments, instrument processing inventory management, and inventory computer systems.

Ideally, the hospital is hoping to find a Sterile Processing Tech SPD who holds their CRCST (IAHCSMM) or CBSPD certification along with previous experience working as a Central Sterile Processing Technician.
