Invio Automation’s Solutions division specializes in single station robotic cells, multi-station fabrication & assembly lines, bonding & welding technologies, vision systems, and packaging process. Application capabilities within our Solutions division include thermal bonding, web handling, force plotting, heat staking, high viscosity pumps, precision dispensing, impulse bag sealing, and needle bending. Invio Automation’s Technologies division includes highly differentiated Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) for heavyweight applications, turnkey assembly lines, welding automation, and custom lift-assist & secure tools for safety critical applications.

DESCRIPTION

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Navigate through 3D cad designs and assemblies for a variety of ergonomic and automation tooling
Work with other professionals within and outside engineering
Design Check for accurate geometry fixture tool models, end of arm tooling models, and load and pass table models using 3D CAD
Review 3D models for safety concerns, accuracy and completion
Work concurrently on one or more projects
Collaborate as a productive member on large projects
Create a good learning environment for the design team

Qualifications:
Analyzes and interprets engineering drawings and other technical data.
Visit new/existing vendors to develop relationships to ensure best practices are established and followed.
Work with corporate purchasing to identify new vendors with capacity.
Work with current vendors to explain our expectations in terms of quality.
Work with Invio Automation Engineering to improve print accuracy/communication from our internal resources.
Work with other Invio Automation sites to best utilize open capacity across the company.
Develop and implement quality standards.
Develop plans to track and manage company waste
Maintain inspection equipment.
Perform internal quality checks (processing mating parts together/verifying purchased parts fit together).
Inspect print packages prior to release.
Assist with evaluating machining efficiency.
Ability to comprehend mechanical and controls related drawings to establish operational opportunities for premature wear or failure of made or purchased items.
Strong attention to detail
Communicate with team members to solve quality issues.
Train other Invio Automation team members on inspection processes and methods.

Other Skills and Abilities:
MS Office Tools/Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint required)
Adobe Acrobat Professional PDF Software – proficient for use of illustration markups; or use of a similar PDF (electronic) markup tool
Preference given to individuals proficient in the use of 3D modeling software.
Customer Interaction/Customer Service skills required (some positions involve direct customer interface)
Desire for professional growth as this may lead to other opportunities within our company.
Open to pursuing roles of increasing levels of responsibility and leadership.

EDUCATION

Prefer a four-year degree in design, mechanical engineering, manufacturing or a related field or equivalent documented experience. Requires at least two years of experience in machining and validating machined material; experience in the auto industry is helpful.
