Educational Requirements:

A Bachelor of Science degree from a regionally accredited college or university is required.
Successful completion of a NAACLS-accredited Pathologist's Assistant program is required, or previous certification by the American Association of Pathologists' Assistants (AAPA).
Certifications/Licenses Required:

AAPA Certification (American Association of Pathologists' Assistants) is required.
Preferred Experience/Certification:

Certification as a Pathologist's Assistant (PA(ASCP)) is preferred.
