*Overview:*

*Responsibilities:*
* Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes, portion control guidelines, and dietary restrictions.
* Ensure timely delivery and distribution of meals to patients' rooms, dining areas, and other designated locations within the hospital.
* Assist in the setup and cleanup of serving areas, including stocking supplies, utensils, and condiments.
* Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures at all times, including handling, storage, and disposal of food items.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff, dietary aides, and other team members to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
* Adhere to hospital policies and procedures regarding patient dietary requirements, allergies, and special requests.
* Provide friendly, courteous service to patients, visitors, and staff while addressing any questions or concerns related to meal service.
* Maintain accurate records of food inventory, temperature logs, and other documentation as required.
* Participate in training sessions and departmental meetings to stay informed about updates in policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

*Qualifications:*
* Previous experience in food service, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting, is desirable but not required.
* Basic knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
* Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
* Physical ability to lift and carry trays, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
* Willingness to undergo background checks and health screenings in compliance with hospital regulations.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: From $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
