Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Supervisor is to lead maintenance personnel to achieve objectives. This involves initiating and/ or participating in cross-functional projects to accomplish goals associated with safety, quality, productivity, on time delivery and continuous improvement, while focusing on removing cost from the business. This position establishes and maintains positive employee relations environment by adherence to Danfoss Leadership principles. Additionally, the Maintenance supervisor clearly communicates expectations while consistently holding self and employees accountable for job-related expectations. This Maintenance Supervisor role will report to the Maintenance Manager and operate daily out of the Search, AR facility.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

Proactively implements, promotes, and maintains a safe working environment through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and driving accountability.
Aligns workforce to the company vision through workplace practices and beliefs that build trust, mutual respect, and teamwork between employees at all levels of the organization while developing, motivating, and coaching direct reports.
Drives 5S standards for team
Develops and displays a thorough understanding of site-level and company-wide strategic initiatives.
Actively supports positive change, working with the site staff to ensure understanding and effective implementation of new processes and procedures.
Drives day-to-day execution of team-related responsibilities/team priorities using the Danfoss Behaviors
Manages employee performance and provides development opportunities.
Provides coaching for employees regarding training and skills development using ongoing one-on-one communication
Works closely with Maintenance Manager in measuring and reporting key maintenance performance indicators. Delivers on action items, removes barriers, and addresses issues to promote continuous improvement.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (in lieu of degree, certifications and experience can be considered. Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Minimum 1 year experience managing people in a manufacturing environment.
