- Must be able to read and interpret tele.
- Schedule Information
- Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hours 7-730.
- Weekend Requirement: 5 weekend shifts in a 6 week period.
- Holiday Requirement: Yes- if there is a need.
- Unit Specific Information
- -Unit: MedSurg - 6th Floor
- - # of Beds: 42
- - Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:5 occasional 1:6-very rarely happens.
- Additional Details
- Are RNs required to titrate drips: no
- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: heparin, PCAs, morphine drips.
- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift: Charge Nurse on each shift- very rarely takes patients but will if there is a need. Day shift also has an ADT nurse that helps with admits, discharges, and tasking.
- Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit: Yes- 1:8.
- RT Equipment: CPAP, BiPAP-RT manages, high flow.
- Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit: Virtual Tele techs. RNs are required to read and interpret own strips. Currently have SpaceLab but are transitioning to Philips by end of June.
