Looking for a secure long-term position? Immediate full-time opening for an experienced mechanic / technician in a growing 70+ year-old recession-proof Emergency Vehicle Dealership.

Technician will work in our Elkridge HQ Service Center.

We are willing to train you if you have a love for big red trucks and flashing lights.

FESCO sells and service fire apparatus and ambulances. We operate service facilities in Elkridge, MD and Ashland, VA. Both locations have excellent teams and we are growing.

STRONG EMPHASIS ON:

* Generators
* Air-ride systems
* General mechanical
* A/C work
* Etc...

Every day is different so you won't get bored and you'll always be learning.

Heavy Equipment Technician Requirements:
* High school diploma or GED.
* Certification as a heavy equipment mechanic.
* Proven work experience as a medium-duty or heavy equipment mechanic.
* Extensive knowledge of various heavy and medium trucks and equipment.
* Understanding of computer testing technologies.
* Ability to lift heavy machinery.
* Good communication skills.

Medium Duty Truck experience preferred. Heavy Truck experience is a plus. ASEs & EVTs preferred. We reimburse for testing and offer an on-going bonus plan.

Compensation based on experience and aptitude. Paid vacation, paid holidays, health insurance plans, 401K, and profit-sharing. No flat rate. Must have own tools.

Applicant must be serious, hard-working and dependable. No cell phone addiction - you will be using a rugged tablet so you'll feel like you've been texting all day

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
