Job Title: Field Service Technician

Location: Frankfort, Kentucky

Salary: $65-75K plus bonus

Job Summary: We are seeking a self-directed Field Service Technician who can effectively communicate with customers, create technical reports, and provide valuable product improvement recommendations to our Engineering team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for independently assembling, commissioning, inspecting, repairing, and troubleshooting systems both domestically and internationally.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years experience in a field service role with decision-making responsibility
Electronics or Electrical certificate or degree
Ability to travel 70% of the time (domestic and international)
Proficiency in writing trip reports, return material authorizations, test reports, and corrective action reports
Strong knowledge of PLC's preferred
Ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot systems using electrical schematics
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Clean driving record
Absence of fear of heights

Responsibilities:

- Regularly engage with customers, vendors, and contractors

- Schedule and coordinate participation of stakeholders for equipment installation and commissioning

- Coordinate internally to ensure timely responses to customer inquiries

- Troubleshoot PLC's, VFD's, and other automated equipment onsite and remotely

- Repair onsite equipment at customer facilities (warranty and non-warranty)

- Conduct routine inspections of existing system installations

- Perform pre-commissioning activities and ensure quality work and reports

- Travel to customer sites to perform final commissioning and demonstrate equipment functions

- Assist in clearing punch list items and attending project meetings

- Provide technical training to end-user operators and maintenance personnel

- Respond to on-site technical issues, analyze and resolve faults, and provide subsequent support

- Independently coordinate site visits and travel arrangements

- Provide direct technical support to customers, contractors, sales, and engineering
