*Minimum Qualification*
* Degree/Education: Graduation from a master’s or doctoral degree program in nursing approved by an organization authorized by the Department of Education to accredit schools of nursing, with a focus in Psychiatry.
* Completion of a formal post-graduate certificate program in Psychiatry/Mental Health. Nurse Practitioners (P/MHNP). National Certification in Psychiatry/Mental Health (e.g., certification by the ANCC).
* Experience: Has been employed as a Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for at least 2 years.
* Licensure/Registration: RN license and Advance Practice Nursing license with a current valid, full and unrestricted license in one of the 50 states in the United States, and the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands.

*Duties include but are not limited to the following:*
* Perform and provide Psychiatric diagnostic examinations, follow-up evaluations, interpretation of laboratory examinations, provide consultations to and with the multidisciplinary behavioral health team. Will also provide psychiatric evaluations and consultations with other medical staff requesting behavioral health expertise.
* Participate as appropriate in the hospital and department quality assurance programs and department monthly in-service training.
* Accomplish all assigned psychiatric evaluations in accordance with schedules established by the Chief, Department of Behavioral Health or their designee.
* When required, record treatment data in patient’s hospital record and outpatient record of treatment.
* Prepare all records and reports as may be required in support of Behavioral Health services rendered and as required by the MTF’s Standard Operating Procedures, Federal Law, or Army Regulation. All written reports and documentation shall be legible and shall be considered property of the Government.
* Provide diagnostic evaluation and behavioral health treatment services for patients who exhibit symptoms characteristic of behavioral health disorders.
