  • BMC Medical Surgical/Telemetry 4th Floor – This unit is located at Bellevue Medical Center (16 mins away from Nebraska Medical Center’s main campus). This unit is a 36 bed medical surgical/telemetry unit. The unit has a focus on the care of the medical surgical/telemetry population with an emphasis on the orthopedic patient population. Additional surgical specialties include: surgical oncology, general surgery, GYN surgery, and OMFS. The unit does accommodate telemetry monitoring.
  • Ratios are 1:5 days/1:6 nights. Depending on staffing, night ratios can be 1:7 (this is rare, but facility wants travelers to be aware).

  • Job Requirements
  • Years of experience REQ: 2 years of Telemetry experience - must be TRUE Tele RN due to higher acuity of patients, 1 year of Level 1 or Level 2 trauma hospital experience in a hospital of similar size (800+ beds).
  • First-timers accepted: YES.
  • EPIC Charting experience required.
  • Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs: YES (this includes potentially floating to Bellevue campus).
  • Locals Accepted: NO (candidate must be more than 100 miles from facility).
  • Pending license accepted: Yes, but if license is not IN HAND at the time of submission then traveler will be booked six weeks out.

  • Shift: 3x12s or 4x12s Accepted.

  • Weekend REQ: Two weekends in a four-week schedule period (Saturday/Sunday for days, Friday/Saturday for nights).

  • Parking: Professionals can obtain a parking permit (cost depends on the lot, but is approx. $55/month) or they can use daily rate parking ($3 to park for 20 hrs).
  • Scrubs: MANDATORY - RNs wear Steele gray scrubs with the Nebraska Medicine logo printed on the back. Information on how to obtain Nebraska Medicine branded scrubs will be shared once traveler is confirmed. Facility also sells gray T-shirts that can be worn in their company store.
