Lake Bluff IL United States North Shore Pediatric Therapy Full time
Our center in Lake Bluff, IL is looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to join our team. As a member on our clinical team, you'll provide evaluations and treatment to assigned clients, and help clients reach maximum performance level and to use skills learned to the fullest to function in the community within the limits of their capabilities.

Most of our clients are school-aged children, so we are looking for someone with availability in the afternoons and evenings until 7:00pm. However, we offer flexibility in your schedule, allowing many of our clinicians to work four-day workweeks to achieve a healthy work-life balance.
How we'll grow together:
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Dive into a vibrant, interdisciplinary landscape where your collaboration with Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and other experts is not just a possibility, but a daily reality. Engage actively in cross-disciplinary idea-sharing, enriching our culture with innovative practices and insights.
Professional Development: Access opportunities for continuous learning and growth in a supportive environment. Navigate a clear path for advancement as you advance your expertise as a therapist and develop as a leader in our organization.
Clinical Autonomy: Craft tailored recommendations and personalized programming utilizing your preferred assessments and programs. Count on our organization's support to ensure families embrace them and thrive with your expert guidance.
New Therapist Support: If you are a newer therapist, you'll receive additional support and mentorship to ensure a smooth transition into our team. We're committed to your success from day one.
Our benefits:
Competitive Compensation: We offer a competitive salary, made up of a base rate + an additional billable rate, to recognize and reward your expertise.
Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance: Traditional PPO, HSA, and HMO plans available to all full-time employees.
401(k) with Company Match: Pre- and post-tax 401(k) plans with up to 4% company match.
Flexible Scheduling: Benefit from flexible scheduling and paid time off for full-time employees to achieve a healthy work-life balance.
Professional Development: We are committed to your growth. Take advantage of opportunities for ongoing professional development and training, including internal growth and learning opportunities as well as a stipend for continuing education.
Team Building: Join a culture of collaboration and camaraderie. Participate in monthly social events with your team to build strong professional relationships.
Teladoc Subscription and Calm App Membership: Prioritize your well-being with a Teladoc subscription (available day 1) and a Calm app membership, available for free to all employees and up to 5 friends/family.
Open Communication and Involvement: We don't just encourage open communication; we empower it. Join one or more of our committees to get involved in organizational initiatives. Be a part of our Experience Team, DEI Committee, Brand Ambassadors, and more
Requirements:
You have a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and an Illinois state license in good standing.
You have earned your Certificate of Competence (CCC) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
You are eager to grow your skills in high-demand clinical areas such as AAC, feeding, and childhood apraxia of speech.
You have prior experience conducting assessments to identify the strengths and needs of each client.

Physical demands: The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Required to sit, stand, bend and walk regularly; lift and/or move up to 45lbs pounds.
Visual and auditory ability enough for written and verbal communication.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Your role as a Speech-Language Pathologist:

Our interdisciplinary approach means that you will collaborate with other Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Mental Health Practitioners, Physical Therapists, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and Neuropsychologists. As a member of our team, you will:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose communication and feeding disorders
Make appropriate cross-referrals to other disciplines as needed
Develop individualized treatment plans and goals for each client based on their unique needs and abilities
Provide one-on-one therapy sessions to help clients improve their speech, language, social, and feeding skills.
Educate families, staff, and the community on the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) to support a child's communication skills.
Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, such as doctors, teachers, and pediatric therapists, to ensure our clients receive comprehensive and coordinated care
Keep detailed records of progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

At North Shore Pediatric Therapy, we understand that joining a team is not just about the role; it's about the people, the support, and the culture. Our interview process is carefully crafted to ensure you thoroughly understand who we are and the support system in place for your success. You'll discuss this role with multiple leaders in our organization, tour the center, and meet the incredible team you could be working with. We can't wait to get to know you
