Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with the registered nurse to support patient care.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to complete delegated tasks for patients under the supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Monitor patients, obtain vital signs and report patients' condition at regular intervals and promptly report any signs or symptoms of concern.
  • Respond promptly to all call lights and provide patient transport.
  • Assist patients with mobility and basic tasks, such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in phlebotomy and collect specimens for labs.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients and staff.
  • Perform direct and indirect patient care duties as assigned and may provide clerical support to assigned unit.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Basic Life Support certification

Preferred Job Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy
  • Completion of approved CNA, PCT or paramedic certification
