VA Central California Health Care System is currently seeking a full-time Hematologist/Oncologist .
The physician provides patient centered care, delivered by engaged, collaborative teams in an integrated environment that supports learning and continuous improvement. The Veteran's experience and health outcomes are improved with an emphasis on prevention through healing relationships in an optimal healing environment.
The full-time HEM/ONC physician must have outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills as a member of the VA professional health care team and provide continuous veteran-centered care for a variety of medical ailments. This care includes but is not limited to assessment, diagnosis, treatment, laboratory, imaging tests, and follow-up evaluations, and management of all patients with cardiac diseases according to standard, usual and acceptable or customary methods and techniques.
The VACCHCS is a core training site for the University of California San Francisco, Fresno Medical Education Residency Program. With a faculty appointment, opportunities for resident supervision, teaching, and clinical research will be available. This position also has an academic appointment with University of California San Francisco UCSF. Licensure: Full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory.
Expected salary ranges from $320,000 to $350,000.
May include up to $15,000 in Annual Performance Bonus
Candidates may be eligible for a Sign-on Bonus
Tax Free - May be eligible to apply for the Education Debt Reduction Program and, if approved, receive up to $200k in school loan repayment Tax Free.

Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of annual paid time offer per year Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and a federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA

A 54-bed Community Living Center is located on campus and provides skilled nursing and rehabilitation care.
