Our client is a behavioral health organization that focuses on patients first. They have been serving their community for over 50 years and pride themselves on their mission to provide accessible, evidence based and patient-centered behavioral health in Central Virginia. They also support initiatives that reduce the stigma of mental health, substance abuse and intellectual disability, and encourage individuals to seek early prevention and treatment.

Responsibilities:

  • Full-time role: 4x10s or 5x8s.
  • 4 day workweek is 2 days in office, 2 days remote. 5 day workweek is 2 days in office, 3 days remote.
  • Part time role: 2 or 3 days a week, 50/50 split of in-office and remote.
  • Diagnose and treat psychiatric disorders
  • Medication management
  • One hour of admin time per day
  • Provide some clinical oversight to PMHNPs (no evaluation required)
  • 8 to 10 patients per day
  • Clinic hours are 8:30 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday
  • No nights, no weekends, and no call.
  • EMR system is Credible
  • Reports directly to the Medical Director

Requirements:

  • Clear and Active Medical License in the state of Virginia (or willing to obtain if out of state provider)
    • MD or DO
  • Board Certified in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required.
