Job Summary and Qualifications


Registered Nurses (RNs) provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about various health conditions, and provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members. RNs must use independent and considerable judgment in providing a wide variety of services. As directed by a physician, RNs also give patients medications and treatments,participatein procedures, and use monitoring systems as needed.



What you will do in this role:



  • You willmonitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.


  • You willmaintainaccurate, detailed reports and records.


  • You will record patients' medical information and vital signs.


  • You will order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests toidentifyand assesspatient'scondition.


  • You willmodifypatient treatment plans asindicatedby patients' responses and conditions.


  • You will direct or supervise less-skilled nursing or healthcare personnel or supervise a particular unit.


  • You will consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.


  • You willmonitorall aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity.


  • You will instruct individuals, families, or other groups on topics such as health education, disease prevention, or childbirth and develop health improvement programs.


  • You will prepare patients for andassistwith examinations or treatments.


  • You will prepare education patient on discharge instructions


  • You will setup / monitor / titrate IV drips including sedation, neuromuscular blockade, and vasopressors


  • You will setup /monitorinvasive monitoring systems including arterial and central lines, and ICP monitoring systems



  • You willparticipatein Pediatric Code Blue team response


  • You will prepare / monitor/ recoverpatients during procedural sedations.


  • You willsupportsthe facilitys Standards of Performance and ICARE values




What qualifications you will need:



  • RN licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state.


  • Current BLS certification


  • PALS and CPI certificationrequiredwithin 6 months of hire.


  • Minimum of one year of pediatric ICU experience required.
