BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking an experienced PCU Registered Nurses to join our outstanding and compassionate float team. BayCare offers a variety of assignment options including:
- · System Pool- 13-week full time assignment for assigned department - unit provided schedule - block scheduling not available
*CURRENT OPENINGS ABOVE ARE ONLY FOR NIGHT SHIFT (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) FOR THE FOLLOWING REGIONS:
Region 1: Morton Plant Hospital - Clearwater, FL, St. Anthony's Hospital - St. Petersburg, FL, Mease Countryside Hospital - Safety Harbor, FL, Mease Dunedin Hospital - Dunedin, FL, North Bay Hospital - New Port Richey, FL
The Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
· The registered nurse collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care.
· Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others in the departments
· Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.
· The Registered Nurse performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Requirements:
· Registered Nurse license
· BLS, ACLS are required.
· Associate degree in nursing (ASN)
· 18 months current RN experience in an acute PCU - Progressive Care Unit setting is required.
· 2 years current RN experience in an acute PCU setting is strongly preferred.
· Prior experience with Cerner EMR strongly preferred.
· Must have independent transportation for assignments/shifts.
· Flexibility
· Travel Nurse experience preferred.
