We are in search of a Full Time Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our large fleet of motorcoaches in Catoosa, OK.

Summary:

The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for using all available resources to complete basic repair and maintenance on all fleet vehicles in accordance with company practices and standards. The Mechanic will consistently strive to learn new skills and be a team player. Hours will need to be flexible based on the vehicle departure schedule and overtime may be required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Proficient in advanced diagnostics and repair of HVAC, air brakes, body, electrical, and engine diagnostics and repairs with minimal errors.
Willing to learn DOT and CVSA requirements and regulations.
Proficient in the use of maintenance software to complete all paperwork in a timely and thorough manner.
Makes sound decisions, prioritizes workflow, and pays attention to details with minimal supervision.
Basic knowledge of dispatch software required.
Participates in a rotating on-call schedule and demonstrates sound judgment when problems arise.
Demonstrates safe and sensible work practices while maintaining a clean and organized work environment throughout the shop.
Provides and maintains all necessary tools and uses all company-provided tools in a responsible manner.
Consistently strives to learn new skills and solve problems.
Willingly assists other mechanics, both in home market and in other locations, sometimes requiring travel to other company facilities.
Other duties as assigned by the Shop Foreman, General Manager, and Director of Fleet Maintenance.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED.
Previous experience in maintenance and repair of motor vehicles.
Participation in the company’s DOT drug testing program.

Preferred Qualifications:

Able to acquire and hold a Class A or B CDL with air brake and passenger endorsements.
Degree or certificate from an accredited technical school in automotive or diesel repair.

Physical Demands:

Able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
Stand, sit, squat, and lay for extended periods.
Able to perform duties in inclement weather as necessary.
