* Provides safe therapeutic care by collaborating with surgeons and the health care team to perform a safe operation with optimal outcomes for the patient. Provides an individual, patient-centered approach to patients with a wide range of diagnoses.

*Position Requirements:*
* *Experience:*Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical First Assistant or 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience.
* *Education and Licensure:*Must be licensed as a Surgical Assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia at the time of hire.
* *Certification:* BLS via American Heart Association.
* *Preferred experience:* Ortho, Robotics & Plastics
* A current credential as a surgical assistant or surgical first assistant issued by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), the National Commission for Certification of Surgical Assistants (NCCSA), or their successors.
