Job Responsibilities
Patient Care:
Take medical histories, examine patients, record results, make diagnoses, and develop care plans.
Order diagnostic tests such as EKGs, blood work, and imaging, and interpret the results to patients.
Perform procedures such as immunizations, cryotherapy, pap smears, and Nexplanon insertion/removal.
Communicate with patients in person, via chat, and occasionally by phone regarding treatment.
Maintain thorough documentation of patient examinations, diagnoses, and treatments.
Provide general health education on matters such as proper diet, family planning, and health maintenance.
Prescribe medication in accordance with state guidelines and company policy.
Detect changes in patients' health and modify treatment plans as needed.
Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
Specialized Care:
Manage a patient panel of roughly 100 individuals, focusing on preventative medicine, weight management, and behavioral health.
Provide evidence-based care and remain proficient in current medical practices.
Technology and Teamwork:
Communicate asynchronously with patients and team members.
Embrace variability and navigate change confidently.
Stay up to date on clinic and company changes and updates.
Qualifications
Education:
Degree from an accredited MD/DO program.
Board Certified.
Licensure and Certification:
Active South Carolina license.
Active DEA registration (including schedule II).
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a primary care setting; 5+ years is ideal.
Strong preference for candidates with experience in weight management, behavioral health, and preventative medicine.
Skills and Attributes:
Interest in providing affordable access to executive-level care.
Desire to be an active member of a team dedicated to improving healthcare delivery and accessibility.
Confidence to navigate change and embrace variability.
Proficient in providing compassionate, evidence-based care.
