*Job Summary:*
* The Registered Nurse (RN) in Long Term Care is dedicated to delivering comprehensive and compassionate care to residents with chronic illnesses or disabilities.
* This role involves ensuring the well-being of residents through continuous monitoring, managing long-term health conditions, and fostering a supportive environment.

*Responsibilities:*
* Resident Care: Provide high-quality nursing care to residents, adhering to established protocols and standards. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensure residents' comfort and safety.
* Health Monitoring: Continuously monitor residents' vital signs and overall health status. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, observing for any adverse reactions or changes in condition.
* Care Planning: Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.
* Documentation: Accurately document resident information, care plans, and treatment outcomes, ensuring thorough and timely record-keeping.
* Emergency Response: Assess and respond promptly to medical emergencies, utilizing nursing skills to stabilize residents and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
* Resident Education: Educate residents and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and ongoing care needs. Provide support and guidance to promote understanding and adherence to care plans.
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards to maintain a safe and effective care environment. Follow all safety and infection control guidelines.
* Communication: Answer phones and handle inquiries related to resident care. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
* Data Tracking: Track and compile data related to resident care and outcomes, assisting with quality improvement initiatives.
* Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments within the facility to coordinate comprehensive care for residents.
* Professionalism: Demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and trustworthiness in all job functions. Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a supportive team environment.

*Requirements:*
* Licensure: Active RN license.
* Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience in long term care or a related field.
* Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
* Experience with long term care equipment and instruments
* Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
* Attributes: Compassionate, patient-focused, and able to handle the emotional demands of long-term care nursing.

Job Types: Travel nursing, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $48.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
