Progressive Care Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Progressive Care Nurse at a well-respected hospital located in south Florida. This opportunity is ideal for nurses who are passionate about providing high-quality patient care and are looking for a dynamic and supportive work environment.

The Progressive Care Nurse will report directly to the Nurse Manager of the Progressive Care Unit. This role involves close collaboration with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
The Progressive Care Unit is designed to care for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessments but do not need the intensive care provided in the ICU. Our PCU is equipped with advanced technology and staffed by a team of dedicated nurses and healthcare professionals who are committed to providing exceptional care.
As a Progressive Care Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing patient care plans, monitoring patients’ vital signs and progress, administering medications and treatments as prescribed, and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans. Additionally, you will educate patients and their families about their conditions and post-discharge care, document patient care accurately and thoroughly, and ensure a safe and clean environment in the PCU.
The Progressive Care Nurse will have an RN license and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, the ability to work well in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, and a commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care are also essential.
