ECU Health SurgiCenter is a freestanding facility with a multi-specialty staff of approximately 200 physicians, all guided by a single goal: to provide quality outpatient surgical care in a patient and family centered environment. Performing more than 12,000 outpatient surgical procedures a year, the facility offers a convenient and clinically excellent alternative to inpatient hospitalization for a wide range of surgical procedures. Outpatient procedures are performed in eight modern, well-equipped suites by surgeons specializing in dental and oral surgery, orthopedics, gastroenterology, general and plastic surgery, gynecology, podiatry, neurosurgery, urology and more.
Position Summary
As a Surgical Technologist, you are required to maintain the integrity, safety and efficiency of the sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
Responsiblilities:
Prepare and arrange instruments and supplies
Assist the surgeon and assistants throughout the operation by providing sterile instruments and supplies
Attend educational programs and staff orientation which promote personal and professional development
Participate in Service Excellence Programs
Minimum Requirements
Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program, Certification from a Military Program, Graduated from an accredited Nursing Program RN/LPN
2 years of experience less than 5 years no CST needed, with 5 years and CST promote to III, with 8 years and no CST promote to III
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Other Information
40 hours a week
Monday - Friday (6:45 am - 5:15 pm)
No Weekends, Holidays, and On-Call
