Description & Requirements
Forvis Mazars is seeking a Senior Manager to assist with managing our growing property tax compliance and consulting function. The qualified candidate should have experience with multi-jurisdictional property tax compliance for multiple large organizations. The qualified candidate should also have experience with property tax compliance software. Further, the qualified candidate should also have strong project management skills and experience with property tax consulting projects. How you will contribute: Managing property tax engagement teams for large multi-jurisdictional clientsMaintaining tax calendarsReconciling fixed assets/inventoryPreparation and filing of personal property renditionsReviewing tax billsProtesting assessmentsManage property tax consulting projects including but not limited to valuation studies, obsolescence studies, and duplicate assessmentsCoach and mentor property tax teamBuild relationships with clients and prospectsWe are looking for people who have Forward Vision and: Strong project management and practice development skills Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills An ability to communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and experience levels both verbally and in writingAttention to detail without losing sight of the big pictureMinimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field Active CPA license or CMI certification 7 years or more of relevant work experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with an advanced understanding of MS Excel Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in business, tax, or lawExperience with CCH Intelliconnect, RIA Checkpoint, and/or BNA Tax research software
