Responsibilities

  • Must be able to operate all routine radiographic equipment safely and proficiently.
  • Calculate appropriate exposure factors and evaluate images for diagnostic quality. 
  • Assist Radiologists and other health care practitioners with invasive procedures. 
  • Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during exams. 
  • Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with regulations. 
  • Demonstrate proficiency in operating the PACS computer system.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Must be a senior student attending an Accredited two-year Radiology Technology training program at a school approved by the Council of Medical Education of the AMA. 
  • Active BLS Certification 
  • High school diploma or GED
