We are passionate about making businesses secure and simplify security with zero compromise.Your ImpactAs an AI Operations Engineer, you will play an important role in the team’s success by directly contributing to the reliability, scalability and performance of the infrastructure that powers all of AI Assistants and AI platforms within Cisco Security. This role is focused on providing robust operational support, enhancing reliability and uptime and reducing the frequency and impact of incidents. You will:Implement and maintain all AI Ops pipeline to automate tasks such as data collection, model training and deployment.Configure advanced monitoring, alerting and logging tools and platforms to track health and performance of AI Platform infrastructureWrite automation as part of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to deploy, maintain and upgrade critical infrastructure resourcesCollaborate with application development and infrastructure teams to design and architect AI Ops solutions.Using data and telemetry to improve feature work and propose feature improvementsRespond to incidents and outages, troubleshoot issues and implement solutions to restore serviceParticipate in OnCall rotation to monitor and quickly resolve critical production alertsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 5 years or Master’s degree plus a minimum of 3 years of industry experience to include programming using Python, Java, Bash or similar languages2+ years of experience using container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes2+ years of cloud computing and working with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or AzureExperience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and observability platforms like Splunk, Grafana or PrometheusExperience with source control and continuous integration tools like Git, JenkinsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with SaaS based productsExperience with model training and deployment in production environmentsAbility to work cross functionally with engineering and data science teamsAptitude to stay up to date with advancing AI and Machine Learning Technologies and industry best practicesAbility and the passion to learn new things quicklyWhy Cisco SecureWe're global, we're adaptable, we're diverse, and our security portfolio is as extensive as it is groundbreaking. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. The recruiter can share more details about compensation for the role in your location during the hiring process.U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
