Duncan-Parnell is growing and looking to add an Installer - Construction, Carpentry, Fabrication in our North Charleston, SC office. This role is a critical position supporting both operations and customers in our Signs & Graphics division.

Job Summary

The primary responsibilities of the installer include the assembly & installation of signage throughout the Carolinas. The ideal candidate would have carpentry skills, be mechanically inclined with a background in construction, installation, or signage.

Essential Functions and Duties

  • Installing signs in and around the Carolinas (Local day travel as needed)
    • Speaking to customer on-site and representing Duncan-Parnell professionally while in the field
    • Operate various types of tools & equipment safely & efficiently
    • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work environment
    • Troubleshoot & resolve problems
    • Read & understand maps, construction plans, assembly instructions & measurements.
  • Follow SOP's and job protocols
    • Preparation for installations includes reviewing scope of work with production team, prepping tools, gathering materials, loading & unloading
    • Receive, verify and stock incoming shipments and deliveries from outside vendors
    • Send completion photos
    • Communicate effectively with team & complete paperwork for billing
  • Installations include but not limited to:
    • Exterior Signs with Posts (4x8; V-Signs, Parking / Directional Signs, Banners etc)
    • Interior Signage (acrylics, wayfinding signs, impact logos, wall & window graphics)
    • Installation services will require occasional use of a lift (scissor lift, boom lift)
    • Local delivery
  • Production & assembly
    • Assemble and prepare final products for installation or delivery, ensuring accuracy and quality.
    • Prioritize orders for finishing / production.
    • Operate various printing and production equipment to produce high-quality sign products.
      • Laminator, table saw, hand tools, etc
    • Perform Quality control checks throughout the production process
  • Additional duties as needed

Requirements

  • High school graduate
  • Valid Driver's license with good driving record
  • Light Construction, Carpentry, Fabrication or previous sign and graphics experiences

  • Mechanically inclined with light carpentry skills, ability to take measurements and knowledge of hand & power tools

  • Ability to lift 50 or more pounds
