Summary:
- Antepartum nursing focuses on care and monitoring during pregnancy until delivery. This unit may also be designed to care for high-risk patients before delivery.
- Reports to Supervisor of the Unt.
- Reviewing treatment plans, lab results and patient education needs. Documenting assessments, notes, and medications administered.
- Collaborating with providers, lactation consultants, social worker Providing discharge education for patients .
- Be proficient in performing and interpreting Fetal Monitor.
- Proficient in performing and interpreting of EKG, able to recognize Lethal Rhythms.
- RN license in good standing.
- Minimum one year recent experience in Antepartum Unit in Facility.
- Active AHA BLS , ACLS , NRP, Fetal Monitoring Certification required.
