Job Description: Responsible for performing and reporting tests of all complexity levels, as defined by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), on patients of all ages to assist with the routine screening, diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases and injuries. Interpret and correlate test results with disease states and theoretical knowledge, exhibit problem solving skills of a highly complex nature, participate in Quality Assurance, Quality Control monitoring, instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting. In addition, may be required to perform phlebotomy and specimen processing duties and will participate in research, development, education, and technical consultation.Full-time, position located in Virginia, MN. Education Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field and 3 months of related experience. Must also have experience with each of the following: 1) performing high complexity testing on patient specimens using both manual methods and automated analyzers in all the sections of the laboratory; 2) executing and analyzing tests in areas including hematology, urinalysis, chemistry, molecular testing, clinical microscopy and blood banking; 3) must possess certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP), Medical Technologist (ASCP), or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (NCA); 4) participating in Quality Assurance, quality control monitoring, instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting; and 5) performing specimen collection, identification process and procedures to facilitate simple to complex diagnostic testing. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently.
