Registered Nurse-RN Nursing Leadership Qualifications & Responsibilities:

Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Current, Unencumbered New Jersey Registered Nurse License
Previous long-term care experience, in leadership capacity role preferred
Wound Care/Infection Prevention experience preferred, not required
Directly supervise the nursing staff on assigned shift by monitoring the distribution of medications, blood draws, and other elements of patient care.
Conduct nursing rounds on each unit multiple times throughout the shift.
Provide education, as needed, to staff, residents and resident family members.
Ensure staff are performing all duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
Overseeing the implementation of nursing department budgets in coordination with the facility administration.
Implementing compliance and quality improvement policies, programs, and procedures.
Recruiting, training, and onboarding new nursing staff.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
