*Position Overview*
We are seeking a skilled and experienced MES Camstar Modeler to join our Manufacturing IT team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the design, configuration, and deployment of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions using the Camstar platform. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and IT, to optimize manufacturing processes and ensure the efficient operation of the MES system across the enterprise.
*Key Responsibilities*
* *System Modeling and Configuration:*
* Design and configure MES solutions using the Camstar platform to meet manufacturing and business requirements.
* Develop and model workflows, business rules, data collection forms, and user interfaces within the Camstar MES environment.
* Implement and customize product lifecycle management (PLM) processes, including recipe management, equipment management, and material tracking.
* *Process Improvement:*
* Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to identify and implement process improvements.
* Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for MES enhancements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
* Provide recommendations for process reengineering and best practices based on industry standards.
* *System Integration:*
* Work closely with IT and automation teams to integrate the Camstar MES with other enterprise systems, including ERP, PLM, SCADA, and LIMS.
* Ensure seamless data flow between MES and upstream/downstream systems, enabling real-time visibility and control of manufacturing operations.
* *Testing and Validation:*
* Develop and execute test plans for MES configurations and customizations, ensuring compliance with validation protocols and industry regulations.
* Participate in system validation activities, including IQ/OQ/PQ testing, to meet regulatory and quality standards.
* *User Support and Training:*
* Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring they can effectively use the Camstar MES system.
* Develop and maintain documentation, including user guides, process workflows, and technical specifications.
* Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring minimal disruption to production operations.
* *Project Management:*
* Assist in the planning and execution of MES implementation projects, including project scoping, timeline management, and resource allocation.
* Track project progress and report on key milestones, risks, and deliverables.
*Qualifications*
* *Education:*
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
* *Experience:*
* 6+ years of experience working with MES platforms, with a strong emphasis on Camstar.
* Proven track record in designing, modeling, and implementing MES solutions in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience with process modeling, system integration, and data management within an MES framework.
* *Technical Skills:*
* Proficiency in the Camstar MES platform, including process modeling, system configuration, and customization.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including discrete and process manufacturing.
* Experience with software development methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Scrum, and DevOps.
* Familiarity with SQL, XML, .NET, and other relevant programming languages and technologies.
* Knowledge of integration protocols (e.g., OPC, B2MML) and experience with system integration using APIs and middleware.
* *Soft Skills:*
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Experience in the semiconductor, electronics, medical device, or pharmaceutical industries.
* Familiarity with FDA regulations, cGMP, and other industry-specific standards.
* Certification in Camstar MES or other MES platforms.
