*Job Summary:*
* Provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process under the supervision of a registered professional nurse, an advanced practice provider, or licensed physician.
* Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner.
* Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes.
* Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.
*Job Responsibilities:*
* Patients scheduled, conducting insurance verifications, providing financial counselling as assigned.
* Administers prescribed medications, therapies, and treatments.
* Fulfills clerical responsibilities (e.g. sending/receiving patient medical records; obtaining lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, referral information, etc.)
* Fulfills environmental responsibilities (e.g. setting up instruments and equipment according to protocol; cleaning exam/procedure rooms, instruments, and equipment between patient visits; ordering, sorting, and storing supplies; restocking exam/procedures room, etc.)
* Collects patient specimens following department/facility policies and procedures.
* Maintains inventory of equipment and supplies to optimize delivery of patient care and treatment.
*Job Requirements:*
* Graduate of an accredited LPN school.
* Two years of experience in healthcare/clinical setting.
* Two years of experience as an LPN.
* One year of Ambulatory or Multi-Specialty experience is strongly preferred.
* Eligible for licensing in the commonwealth of Virginia as an LPN.
* BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
