Required Certifications: BLS, Chemo and Biotherapy cert, OCN-preferred.
Common diagnosis/Types of patients: Variety of cancer patients.
Experience: Oncology Nursing- either floor or Infusion Center experience. Must be able to access a port. Must
be able to draw labs off of central lines.
Are RNs required to titrate drips:Chemo only.
Common infusions: FOLFOX (Fluorouracil, Leucovorin, Oxaliplatin (continuous pump)), Taxol, Carboplatin, HP
(Herceptin, Perjecta), RCHOP (Rituxan, Cytoxan, Vincristine, Adriamycin), Immunotherapies (keytruda, opdivo,
imfinzi)
