Vent Charge Nurse NIGHT SHIFT

Larchwood Care is an independent long-term care facility dedicated to providing excellent care for our patients and creating a great work environment for our staff. Being non-corporate, we operate as a close-knit team, often sharing family meals and including our staff in various activities. We do not rely on agency staff to maintain continuity; instead, our own staff pick up shifts to ensure adequate staffing. We have a 72-bed skilled nursing facility and a 95-bed assisted living community. Our 25-bed ventilation and trach unit is staffed with Respiratory Care Therapists, nurses, and STNAs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best nursing care with little supervision and much compassion. The goal at Larchwood Care is to promote the patient’s well-being by providing high-quality nursing care in a team environment.
*Responsibilities*
* Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice. Provide nursing care with team.
* Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate them to physicians
* Perform routine and typical long term care procedures and document.
* Adjust and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders
* Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.)
* Provide instant medical care in emergencies
Requirements
* Valid RN or LPN nursing license
* Experience with vents and trachs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00 - $45.00 per hour
