Position Overview: As a Child and Adolescent Psychologist with our practice, you will specialize in providing comprehensive psychological assessments, diagnoses, and therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents experiencing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. You will work closely with clients and their families to develop tailored treatment plans and promote positive mental health outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to diagnose emotional, behavioral, and developmental disorders in children and adolescents.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
  • Provide psychotherapy and counseling services to children, adolescents, and their families, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, social workers, educators, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure holistic treatment approaches.
  • Offer support and guidance to parents and caregivers, providing education on child development, behavior management techniques, and effective parenting strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clinical assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Licensed or license-eligible as a Psychologist in the state of Kentucky.
  • Specialization or significant experience in child and adolescent psychology, including training in assessments and evidence-based treatments.
  • Strong clinical skills in conducting psychological evaluations and providing psychotherapy to children and adolescents.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional development and staying current with advances in child psychology and therapy.
