Job Description:   

This experienced Signals Analyst/Systems Engineer will work within an Integrated Product Team responsible for the development of specialized signal processing systems for a diverse customer base. This team, comprised of engineers from many disciplines, works closely with customers to gain insight into real-world needs, priorities, and obtains operational feedback to provide the best system solutions for our users.  As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for providing operational expertise, signals analysis and definitions, user training, and test/integration of systems to achieve solutions for various projects/programs. This position requires a self-motivated team player with excellent technical and communication skills. Opportunities exist for travel if desired.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Perform operational signals analysis with expertise in analysis and breakout with a firm understanding of advanced modulation techniques, digital communications, network protocols, structures and bit-stream analysis.
  • Create detailed definition of signal analysis for both development engineers and customers.
  • Create algorithms using community tools for signal definition.
  • Prepare presentations and briefings for customers and community working groups.
  • Collaborate with customers and team members to develop system requirements and solutions which contribute to an overall product line of systems.
  • Provide integration and test support of systems preparing for delivery.
  • Provide training to system users.
  • Respond to customer inquiries providing troubleshooting and analysis of field requests.
  • Prepare documentation and user’s manuals.
  • Create and maintain strong working relationships within the company and with onsite and offsite customers.

 

Job Qualification Requirements:  

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

 

  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret (SCI) security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Systems engineering experience required.
  • Willing to travel CONUS/OCONUS occasionally

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Proficient using community signal analysis tools.
  • Ability to develop signal definitions
  • Ability to work with flexible goals or shifting priorities
  • Must be a self-starter who is comfortable working in a team environment or on independent assignments
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Java, C/C++ or Python programming skills
  • Good working knowledge of the Linux Operating System
  • Data communications experience with modern protocols and formats
  • Shell scripting experience
  • Familiarity with Version Control software
  • Familiarity with MatLab
  • Knowledge and understanding of RF and receiver concepts.
  • CI polygraph (or willingness to take one)
  • Ability to achieve and maintain flight currency qualifications, to include passing an FAA Class III flight physical. Must be able to climb aircraft stairs and ladders.
