We’re currently seeking a *Licensed Practical Nurse *to join our amazing team.

*Details of the Opening:*
* Anticipated start date: *ASAP*
* Salary range: *$26.00-$32.40/hour*
* Anticipated schedule: *Full Time, Days & nights, Monday-Friday*

*Daily Range of Responsibilities:*
* Provides evidence-based nursing care utilizing the nursing process, principles, practices and techniques of general nursing care as determined by Standards of Practice under the direction of a Registered Nurse
* Screens for sick call, administers medications, and provides first aid and basic life support to patients and employees as needed
* Maintains open lines of communication with security and treatment staff while providing input and feedback to assist the facility provider in organizing a treatment plan
* Records all pertinent information into the medical record
* Interfaces with other departments as needed
* Promotes continued competence through education/certification with a focus on correctional nursing
* Nurses must have the ability to work hours, days and locations as assigned along with being capable and available to provide coverage as needed to meet institutional needs
* Provide total health care to offenders (routine, chronic and emergent care)
* Maintains continuity of care from admission to discharge in a correctional facility
* Safe medication administration following DOC policy
* Provide employee health services in accordance with policy
* Follows operational policies/procedures, Health Services guidelines/policies, ACA standards of care, and Board of Health professionals' scope of practice

*What You’ll Need to Qualify for this Role:*
* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
* Must possess and maintain a valid unrestricted Virginia LPN license issued by the board of nursing or a multi-state compact license (if you are a recent graduate of a nursing program in VA and not licensed, the NCLEX-PN exam must be scheduled at the time of application)
* Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers with current certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or client (ARC) is required upon hire
* Demonstrated ability to screen complaints of physical ailments and refer necessary cases to other medical professionals
* Experience in carrying out provider's orders in applying treatments
* Ability to follow oral and written instructions
