Position Summary:
Sovah Danville is seeking a Prn Certified Medical Assistant to perform routine clinical and administrative duties in support of an assigned area or office.
Under the supervision of a physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given.
Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas.
Minimum Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in Medical Assistant required.
- Other Certificates from a college in Medical Assistant instead of Associate's required other Certificates instead of Associate's required.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- A certified Medical Assistant Certificate or Registered Medical Assistant is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required.
