Position Summary:The Department of Kinesiology in the School of Education and Health Sciences at North Central College invites applications for a non-tenure-track lecturer position in Exercise Science, to begin August 1, 2025.
The Lecturer in Exercise Science will teach courses in the Exercise Science major, Kinesiology Department, and/or strength and conditioning minor and support the co-curricular experiences of exercise science majors and be an active and engaged member of the Kinesiology Department and the School of Education and Health Sciences. This 9- month position is open immediately until filled. Teaching responsibilities include 24 credit-hour load with the Kinesiology Department curriculum. Selection of the courses to teach will be dependent on departmental need combined with candidate interest and experience. Candidates should demonstrate potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching and mentoring.
Qualifications: Candidates possessing a doctorate degree in an Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related discipline, and candidates with a master's degree in a related area are encouraged to apply. Candidates who possess the NSCA CSCS and/or ACSM CEP credentials are preferred. Successful applicants must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students.
