Job Description

Johnson Duffie, a multidisciplinary, full-service practice in Lemoyne, PA, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join the firm's Insurance Defense practice group, representing insurance companies and their insureds throughout Pennsylvania.

As a well-established firm with a rich and successful history, Johnson Duffie can provide a strong growth opportunity for a candidate who has the required experience. The firm offers candidates sophisticated work opportunities, competitive salary, bonus and benefit structure, including medical, disability, life insurance and much more.

The position could also incorporate other practice areas, if interested in a more diverse experience.

Responsibilities:

Represent clients before judges and juries in the trial and appellate courts
Provide expert legal analysis and arrive at practical solutions for clients
Communicate effectively with clients
Review and draft pertinent legal documents
Conduct effective legal research
Work effectively with all those involved with a case
Work independently and collaboratively with other attorneys on cases
Obtain and organize appropriate case related materials
Contribute to the growth of the firm

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited law school and licensed to practice in PA
1 to 3 years minimum experience in insurance defense litigation preferred
Mature and possess strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong communication and presentation abilities
Conscientiousness with high attention to detail
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Possess skills and comfort using modern software technology to improve efficiency, such as MS Office, PCLaw, and related applications
US Work authorization is required
