Job description

At City Dental, as a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings and assist the dentist in various procedures. If you are dedicated to patient care and have excellent communication skills, we would love to hear from you.

- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments

- Take quality digital dental x-rays

- Conduct patient assessments and record medical histories

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques

- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and materials

- Administer local anesthesia as directed by the dentist

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems (Open Dental)

- Follow all HIPAA guidelines for patient privacy and confidentiality

- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care

Experience:

- Valid state dental hygiene license

- Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist preferred

- Proficiency in medical terminology and documentation

- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques

- Strong knowledge of oral health conditions and treatment options

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to work well in a team environment

- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
