As a *Periop Registered Nurse (RN)* at the University of Kansas you will provide professional nursing care through assessment and accurate documentation, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation for the comfort and well-being of patients.

· Carries out a plan of care specific to unit competencies for the target patient population.

· Coordinates care delivery and education through collaboration with patient, family and all health care team providers to ensure safe, effective and quality patient care.

· Follows organizational policies in providing safe patient care.

*Units:*

*Bell Hospital Tower Operating Room*
* 27 operating room
* 57 prep/recovery bays
* Level 1 Trauma Center
* Specializes in trauma, critical care, transplant, plastics, orthopedics, gynecology, urology and many more complex produces.
* They see on average 70-80 cases over day, but has reached up to 100.

*Cardiovascular Operating Room*
* 5 operating rooms
* 1 hybrid operating room
* 6 prep/recovery bays
* Specializes in heart surgeries, minimally invasive procedures, transplants and robotics.

*Cambridge Tower A Operating Room*
* 11 operating rooms
* 29 prep/recovery bays
* Specializes in ENT, surgical oncology and neurosurgery
* The region's only intraoperative MRI
* 29 prep/recovery bays

*Periop Registered Nurse (RN)* *Minimum Qualifications:*
* · Associate's degree in Nursing
* · RN in State of Kansas
* · ACLS Certification
* · BLS Certification
* · 6 months to 2 years' experience as a Clinical Nurse

*Shifts:*

· Full Time – (self-scheduling)
