Job Summary
- The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is accountable for assisting the RNs and LPNs with clerical and routine duties as well as assisting in the department operations and delivery of care as need or assigned.
- Provides exceptional care and service to patients, residents, guests and fellow employees at all times.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital's Catholic heritage and Avera co-sponsorship values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship.
- Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Ethical and Religious Directives.
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
- Must be 16 years of age.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- BLS Certification required within 60 days of hire.
Work Schedule
- Evening Shift: 2:30pm-11:00pm, every third weekend, every third holiday; 72 hours every 2 weeks
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $17.50 - $23.00 per hour
