In addition to performing dental hygiene procedures, the candidate will work with our Hygiene Coordinator to manage all aspects of the hygiene program. We work 4 days a week and are off on Fridays, with the exception of occasional team trainings. Responsibilities
Cleans calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums using dental instruments
Examines gums using probes to locate periodontal recessed gums and signs of gum disease
Feels lymph nodes under patients chin to detect swelling or tenderness that could indicate the presence of oral cancer
Applies fluorides or other cavity-preventing agents to arrest dental decay
Completes diagnostic quality x-rays
Intraoral scanning
Completes digital photography
Records and reviews patient medical histories
Charts conditions of decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by dentist
Maintains dental equipment and sharpens and sterilizes dental instruments
Provides clinical services or health education to improve and maintain the oral health of patients or the general public

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must have a positive and outgoing personality, exceptional communication skills, a thorough knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene and excellent patient care

Skills
Proven experience as Dental Hygienist, at least 3 years
Associates degree or the successful completion of a recognized vocational program in dental hygiene
State license required
Outstanding communication skills
A patient and friendly personality
Self motivation and time management is a must
Goal oriented
Attention to detail
We will provide continuing education towards your licensure

Benefits

Patient hours are Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:00pm. We offer paid time off for holidays, paid time off, 401k with match, uniform reimbursement, team events, and perks all year in an upscale, modern office. Sign on bonus offered at 90 days of employmen.
