The Associate System Engineer - Network will be responsible for designing, integrating, and managing complex systems, including building, and running Infrastructure & Cloud Services, focused on producing high-quality solutions and improving existing technology systems through orchestration and automation. Focus on enhancing existing processes and developing and implementing solutions through various technology disciplines.

As a hands-on team member, to effectively partner with assigned team members throughout the Global Core Platform Organization including engineers, Product owners and other multidisciplinary staff based on shared goals and practices.

As an Associate System Engineer, Network at FM you will be responsible for
  • Support, implement, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, ISE, ASA, and F5 infrastructure to support organizational requirements.
  • Configure and manage VLANs, ACLs, routing protocols (such as OSPF, BGP), VPNs, and other network technologies.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network configurations for maximum efficiency and reliability.
  • Implement and maintain network security and various access control measures.
  • Collaborate with other Enterprise Technical Capabilities teams to integrate network infrastructure with other systems and applications.
  • Perform regular backups, updates, and patches to ensure the security and stability of the network infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to teams and end-users as needed.
  • Improve the reliability of high-scale systems implementing automation to improve the process, the environment, and the technology stack. Leverage automation where possible to ease/eliminate repetitive tasks.
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation ( once a month, weekly rotation along with 4 to 5 engineers. There is a primary and secondary always on call.)
1-3 years of experience in network administration, application support, infrastructure support, information technology, platform services, or another related discipline.

Experience with routing, switching, VPN, AAA, wireless and load balancing preferred.

Must have experience with scripting and automation.

Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
  • Experience with designing and implementing network security measures, including VPNs
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing various environments including Cisco, F5 and Infoblox.
  • Solid understanding of network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, such as Wireshark, SNMP, and packet analysis.

Strongly Preferred
  • Experience with cloud networking technologies, such as Azure or AWS
  • Knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN) concepts and technologies.
  • Experience with network automation and scripting using tools like Python or Ansible.
  • Familiarity with IT service management frameworks.

Education

4 Year College Degree/bachelor's preferably in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position is $78,500 to $112,800. The final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience.
