The busy Thoracic Surgery program is part of an integrated, multispecialty system committed to the highest quality outcomes. The Section of Pulmonary Medicine is ranked as one of the nation s highest quality and is an award winning program. The cancer center boasts the busiest medical and radiation oncologists in the region with a high level of expertise and a busy clinical trial portfolio. The Thoracic program also collaborates with a regional, high volume gastroenterology group boasting a strong community outreach thereby establishing the program as a regional center of excellence.

The Thoracic Surgery Division as a busy part of the Department of Surgery integrates residents, medical students and undergraduates in a rich teaching environment.
The ideal candidate will be board certified or eligible in thoracic surgery with clinical experience in the management of thoracic diseases and minimally invasive surgery and/or robotic assisted surgery. In addition, the candidate should have a strong academic interest with a desire to educate and participate in research.
