ChristianaCare General Surgery Services at Newark is hiring an Office Assistant.
ChristianaCare General Surgery Services at Newark is located at 4735 Ogletown Stanton Road, Medical Arts Pavilion II, Suite 3301 in Newark, Delaware. At ChristianaCare, our surgeons and care teams have the experience and expertise to give our patients the confidence they need to get them surgery and back to their lives as quickly as possible.
ChristianaCare General Surgery Services at Newark is made up a group of extremely talented, dedicated, and kindhearted surgeons in a wide range of specialties. General Surgery encompasses various common surgeries such as breast, colorectal, gastrointestinal, minimally invasive, and robotic-assisted procedures.
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday from 8am to 430pm
Job duties & responsibilities:
You will handle various tasks such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and registering patients. You will represent the practice and handle multi-line telephones, manage the front desktop, collect insurance payments, apply ICD9 and CPT4 codes for billing, and perform outreach calls. You will interact with physicians, staff, and patients to provide accurate communication and customer service. You will need to possess excellent time management, multitasking, and communication skills, and can build professional relationships in a team environment.

Education Requirements:
- High School Graduate or GED required.
- Medical receptionist or medical assistant degree preferred but not required.
- Experience in a medical office setting or customer service environment is preferred but not required.
