No childish scrub characters, as we are an adult unit.
The first day is EPIC training and some mandatories in the department along with time on the floor. They then receive 2 full 12 hour shifts of orientation on the floor.
Floating to other units/departments? Yes, all nurses in department are Gen Med competencied and therefore may be asked to float to any Gen Med unit throughout hospital. Travelers Float First
Bed size/number of rooms in the unit: SSU is currently a 13 Bed unit, we have been approved/ plan to expand to up to an additional 10 beds in new expanded location.
Shift of Schedule requirements
No Call.
Every other weekend (Saturday / Sunday on Day Shift and either Friday / Saturday or Saturday / Sunday on night shift to follow unit patterns)
Every other Holiday (Days holidays are: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day. Nights holidays are: Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, Memorial Day Eve, the 3rd of July Nights, and Labor day Eve)

Basic travel nursing requirements include:
1-2 years recent experience in the job's primary area of care
Active license or appropriate accreditation in one of the 50 US states
