We are is seeking a Dispatcher for our Harbor/Intermodal Division. The Dispatcher is responsible for managing the dispatch to ensure maximum productivity of all drivers and overall harbor dispatch functions, as well as assisting in the continued growth and profitability of the company. He/she will work with CSR to develop strategies for long-term growth, profitability and interdepartmental cooperation and ensure that the integrity of the company is always maintained. Successful candidate will have full supply chain knowledge with extensive ocean and rail intermodal experience with an asset-based service provider.
We are in a period of dynamic growth and wants to align with forward thinking problem solvers to meet the demands of the planned growth and additional markets over the coming months/years.
The Dispatcher position must have a strong understanding of inland and port dispatch drayage operations. This position requires maintaining accurate data, tracking and tracing loads, maximizing driver satisfaction and efficiency. The dispatcher must have strong problem-solving skills given any situation that may arise. The dispatcher is required to dispatch container in accordance with the workload and organize, strategize, and prioritize the driver pool when routing. Communicate with Customer Service to verify and resolve customer and shipper customer issues and ensure all information is properly updated timely and accurately. The dispatcher must be able to work with our drivers, communicate well and build a partnership attitude to find solutions.
