Buffett, acquired Precision Castparts Corp./*generated inline style */ Job Description Position Summary:The Senior Director Global Supply Chain (GSCD) serves as a key member of the PCC Fasteners Division Leadership Team. This leader will combine and integrate their expertise in material flow management with outstanding knowledge of information and financial flow, designing a metrics framework that drives the right behavior, and processes that deliver product availability at the lowest possible cost and working capital levels, ensuring operational efficiency.The SDGSC works closely with all members from the Supply Chain team under the guidance of the Division President.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:Develop Purchasing Plan and StrategySource Raw Materials or ServicesOversee Planning & Scheduling Process to Ensure Manufacturing Productivity and EfficiencyCoordinate Delivery and Supply Chain LogisticsMinimize Shortages and Keep Costs DownStrategize to Improve Productivity, Quality, and Efficiency of OperationsLead, Develop, and Mentor Site Supply Chain TeamsEssential FunctionsDevelop, deploy and implement global purchasing strategy to deliver maximum value, leverage and standardizationNegotiate supplier contracts with core factories to support critical business needsIdentify and execute total cost reduction opportunitiesLead and support cross function project teams as required to meet or exceed expectation on target costs and timeTrack and report price, delivery, payment terms, supplier quality, claim processes, claim resolution management and other KPI metrics monthlyPurchase goods by securing price, capacity & service levels in line with commitments to the business and as per the sourcing strategies by applying a wide range of sourcing tools (e.g. negotiation, e-procurement, strategic collaboration, tenders/RFPs etc.)Implement supplier strategy/shape supplier base. Assess and develop suppliers in order to meet business needs and opportunitiesEnsure effective risk management of the supply base through robust contracts and monitoring of financial and other KPIs. Implement corrective actions as appropriate. Manage all related commercial, financial & ethical aspects of projectsEstablish & maintain relationships with Finance directors, department directors (General Manager, plant manager, sales director, supply chain leader, etc.), and their teams to ensure understanding of their needs and to facilitate the appropriate level of challengeEnsure compliance with policies, systems & controlsProvide market and financial insights and inputs to the internal sourcing planning processRecommend and implement best practice for areas of responsibilityWorks with other functions to support new product launches, line extensions, and execution of continuous improvement programs for indirect goods and services in scope for the roleExecute supplier performance reviews on a regular basis.Develop & implement a continuous improvement action plan. For informational purposes only, the range for annual base salary for this role is $183000 to $215000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Executive Bonus Plan, paid out up to 40% of the applicable annual base salary, based on the Company’s performance in the prior calendar year. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
