Job Description:

Currently, we’re hiring a Social Worker to work at a school in Cahokia, Illinois. As a Social Worker with SHC, you'll be supported by our Schools Center of Excellence, a dedicated team of recruiters and employment professionals that understand schools and your unique needs as a Social Worker working in a school setting.
Social Worker Contract Details:
- $41 - $43.50 an hour
- 2024-2025 School Year
- Hours per week: Full-time. 37.5 hours/week Monday-Friday schedule.
- Start Date: August 2024
- End Date: May 2025 with option to extend
- Location: In-person
- Details: Full-time school social worker position. Elementary school, middle school, and high school assignment options. Provide direct counseling services to students. Participate in the diagnostic process by obtaining data and completing social development studies. Provide expertise for crisis intervention and emergency situations such as trauma, death, homelessness, etc. Work and consult with the school multidisciplinary team of teachers, counselors, nurses, and school psychologist.
- Social Worker will be promoting the general well-being of students
- Working with outside agencies to provide support to families
- Offering mentoring and suggestions for Teachers and other school personnel
- Developing and providing crisis intervention strategies to improve student success
- Working to maximize coping skills for students in difficult situations

Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Social work
- Active Illinois Social Worker License
- American Heart Association BLS
- Previous pediatric experience preferred
